I can only imagine. But few movies I've seen in recent memory had the potential that KOH did. Jarhead would be another recent failed-to-capitalize example, although I think 'head came much closer to realizing its potential than KOH did.

To give it some credit: there were fewer flaws than Alexander and Troy. Plus, the night before I watched KOH, I rented Sahara on pay per view. With Sahara as the benchmark, Kingdom of Heaven is Oscar-worthy.

Well, the story flaws more than likely centered around these two words: "Liam" and "Neison." But I haven't seen the film, so I'm only speculating. The other factor one has to take into consideration would have to be Ridley Scott, a director who hasn't really made a smashing success recently. ("recently" = "since Alien.") Or, just because I can, I'll say that all blame should be placed on Orlando Bloom. That comment ought to piss off every 12 year old girl in the lower 48! Booyah! Or wait, wait, roll with me on this one; it's a carbon copy of every other "epic" historcial fiction to hit the silver screen in the past ten years. Anyway, take your pick. I say D: All of the Above.

It was doomed from the start, thanks to the story's flaws, which are just ridiculous. I hated it and was really relieved when it finally ended. I don't think it stood a chance
