Cinematic LEGO -- Shots from Your Favorite Movies Recreated with Your Favorite Toy
Do you love movies? Do you love LEGO? If you’ve ever had a desire to recreate favorite shots from your favorite movies, you’ll understand just where imgur user hatinhand is coming from. Rendering moments from movies as varied as 2001: A Space Odyssey and American Beauty, there’s plenty to pore over — both for your inner film nerd, and your inner LEGO nerd:
I really like how they went through the effort of trying to recreate not just the angle, costuming, set-design, etc., but also the lighting and mood. Here are a few of my favorites:

For all 23 recreations, check out hatinhand’s gallery here. From my count, it seems like the 1970′s are better represented than any other decade, and Kubrick gets a lot of love. Can you identify all 23 movies? I’ll be honest, I can’t place number 6 (the dancing people), or 12 (the guy coming out the window). If you know what they are, let me know in the comments! Which ones do you like most?

Yeah, 10 is definitely chinatown. It’s when he gets his nose cut.
And here is what I think 6 is referring to… (Good call with Billy elliot)

Yep, my son agrees with Michael Markham – he yelled out “Ghostbusters” for pic 3 without hesitation… I also think Silence of the lambs on 20. And I love the scene he chose for “The Shining”!

Number 6 is probably either Black Swan or maybe All That Jazz. Number 12 is Die Hard (It’s an elevator shaft, not a window). Which film is number 10 though? I want to say Casablanca, but I feel like I’m definitely wrong.
