I think it needs cloud-based sync, not just email. There should be a single document of truth and not a single iPad of truth. And ideally integration with other parts of the workflow. But it's a very nice app for $10.

Really nice looking app! A steal at $10 or $20. Lots of very useful features. I agree with the suggestions above for improvements. I hope they expand to Android as well. But I understand why they started with iOS based on Apple prevalence in the film industry.

Looks great. Definitely something I have been looking for some time now...one additional killer feature would be the option to import photos into the shotlister...that is the only thing I am missing...you come on set...you take a couple of shots with your ipad and you import them into the list to get the visual feel of the scene...that feature would be awesome...

I invested early in shot lister as I agree with what you said about $10 being a steal. Just a headsup for those considering: this is not movie magic yet. It's missing a couple critical things that will take it to the next level. For example, a one line schedule should always have a box for which cast members are in a given scene. It's critical to know which actors are in the scene for pretty obvious reasons. I'm working on a baseball movie with 100+ cast members, so shot lister wouldn't really do it for us.

I'm confident the company can work these fixes into subsequent upgrades so I spent the $10 without thinking twice. Also $10 is a steal compared to the industry standard Movie Magic which costs around $600. I'm told students can get MM scheduling for $185 but that's still a lot of money you might want to spend renting a couple lenses or other special equipment with.

I'm excited to use shot lister on the next project I direct or AD, and hopefully there will be an upgrade by the end of summer.
