Yes it has clean HDMI out. I’ve been testing the D5200 with my Ninja2 …and the image quality is superb! The new Toshiba sensor is amazing. Even though its 24mp there’s virtually no aliasing/moire.

Excellent DR, color and resolution. Even the AF (AF_F) is significantly improved and almost as good as the GH2/GH2.

Looking at the Prores HQ 4:2:2 from my Ninja has convinced me that this humble little newcomer’s video image quality is better than my D800, hacked GH2′s (by a long shot in terms of noise and color) and even the GH3.

Does That Mean Only A Single Clip Can Be Recorded Upto 29min 30s,That Is Multiple Clips Of 29:59 Mins Can Be Recorded,Or Total Video Length Is 29:59 Mins??

I’m looking into buying a DSLR, mainly for video, and on a not so big budget. the D600 is on my wishlist but D7000 is the one I’ll buy.
Do I need to consider the D5200 instead?

The problem with the D5100 is that there is no control in video mode … unless they changed that its not really for video use

Yeah, it’s really kind of pointless, the quality isn’t really better than 720 in the end, and that doesn’t include the time you spend on it. You’re better off just shooting 720 60p.

You can get 60p from 60i by interpolating fields…you lose half the resolution though obviously, so I’m not sure there’s any advantage over 720 60p (you have more horizontal resolution, but less vertical resolution). I used to use After Effects to turn DVX 60i footage into 60p…I’m really glad cameras support actual 60p now.

This is ultimately inconsequential unless you’re a low to mid-level photographer. Plus, it seems strange to use interlaced video as a tool to market this camera. Very strange indeed.

In terms of photography, this is a great camera for the price (and it competes well with the t4i).

But in terms of video…..not so much. On paper, at least.
