Video thumbnail for vimeo video Red Giant BulletProof Media Management App Now Available in Public Beta - No Film SchoolAlmost two months ago, Red Giant announced BulletProof, a complete offload, prep, and delivery solution for camera footage. While the software was put through its paces with Spy vs. Guy (which premiered at NAB), the software is now finally open to the public in Beta form. Check out some videos below that explain how you can get started using BulletProof.

Some info about how this all works from their site:

What are you downloading?

The greatest thing since sliced bread! OK, maybe not  – sliced bread is pretty hard to top , but we think BulletProof is pretty awesome – and we want your help to make it even more awesome by testing it out, contributing feature ideas, and letting us know what works for you and what doesn’t.

You’ll be downloading Public Beta version 1.

BulletProof is free as beta software until the products full release (and we’re aiming for this summer). This version is Mac only, but we fully intend to support windows as the product further develops.

Updates

We will be sending out updates of the Beta as development continues the next few months with bug fixes, performance improvements and UI tweaks.  Updated versions will be made available through the Red Giant Link App.

Here is a pretty hefty guide to get going with it:

So as they said above, right now this is Mac only, but the program is definitely coming to Windows (we just don't know when yet). When it's finally released, it's going to run for $200, but they are giving people plenty of time to try it out thanks to the public Beta. Right now only Canon, Nikon, and GoPro cameras and formats are supported, but they are going to be adding more during the Beta and well after.

To get access to the software, you'll have to create an account with Red Giant Link first before being able to download BulletProof. Head on over to their website to read more about it and try it out yourself.
