[Update]: The 701 Lite and the 702 Lite have been officially announced.

This time, however, they've gone with a lower-than-1080p resolution to bring the price way down. The panels on the 701 Lite and 702 Lite will be 1200 x 800, and though that may be disappointing from a resolution standpoint, if it's as good or better than the one on the standard DP7, it will be plenty good for focusing, and should be fine for color. From a software standpoint, these look to share the same 3D LUTs and custom pages as the 702 Bright.

The new monitors will come in at $700 and $900, which is quite a difference compared to the $1,500 702 Bright, but the discount is thanks to lower resolution and lower brightness (450 nits vs 1000 nits).
