Vision Research Previews the Mid-Range Phantom VEO, Captures up to 1,500fps at 2.5k

Vision Research tries to bring a more budget conscious high-speed camera to the market.

Phantom cameras are known for high-end super slow-motion work, but the prototype they're showing here in Vegas is catered to an all purpose mid-range market. No price or anticipated release dates yet, but for filmmakers who want to get 1,500fps more affordably, it's something to look out for. In addition the showing off the Phantom VEO (which allows for recording onto CFast cards instead of proprietary media) they've updated the Phantom Flex 4K with new firmware that allows recording of a 2k ProRes version of your shot.
