With the Thanksgiving holiday behind us, awards season kicks into high gear as contending films jockey for position leading up to the Christmas releases. As a result, we have five more screenplays to share for free and legal download from Fox Searchlight, Focus Features, and Sony Pictures Classics to accompany the previous 20 Oscar-hopeful scripts we shared earlier this month.

Before we get to the links, let's take a look at the trailers for this batch of screenplays.

First, we have Jackie, a very focused biopic of Jacqueline Kennedy in the days just after the assassination of her husband as she orchestrates the proceedings around her husband's funeral while projecting the poise for which she was so well known.

Next, we turn to Sundance award winner The Birth of a Nation, which tells the story of preacher and slave Nat Turner as he comes to the realization that he must lead his fellow slaves in rebellion to achieve freedom.

Written and directed by Tom Ford, Nocturnal Animals is a romantic thriller that explores the themes of love, revenge, and redemption as a woman reads a novel—written and dedicated to her by her ex-husband. The story unfolds over the course of the film and forces her to examine how she handled their marriage.

In A Monster Calls, a 12-year-old boy struggles to cope with his mother's illness, his difficult grandmother, and school bullies when a monster appears at his bedroom window.

Finally, Isabelle Huppert has received rave reviews for her turn in Elle as the head of a video game company who is attacked in her own home. She hunts down the man who attacked her, only to discover that they are both playing a dangerous game.

Our thanks to the studios for making these screenplays available for download. (But be sure to download them soon, as we never know when the studios will remove them!)
