At NAB a few weeks ago, we talked about DJI's 2000 nit monitor and showed you an update to the Ronin gimbal. Now, the latest bundle for aerial cinematography via DJI's partnership with Hasselblad, the medium format camera and lens company, has been introduced—and it gives you an unprecedented 100 million pixels.

DJI M600 Pro

Last July, the two companies combined a DJI M600 Pro with a Hasselblad A5D. The new platform integrates the DJI M600 Pro and Ronin-MX gimbal with the Hasselblad H6D-100c. As with DJI's other drones, users can continuously control camera operations using the DJI GO app to create rich aerial imagery.

The M600 Pro is an adaptable, six-rotor flight platform equipped with the Lightbridge 2 transmission system, a dustproof propulsion system and six Intelligent Flight Batteries. More importantly, since focusing this amount of resolution can be difficult on the ground, the M600 Pro can be guided by the D-RTK GNSS navigation system to withstand strong magnetic interference and provide precise centimeter-level 3D positioning.

Hasselbald H6D-100C

The Hasselblad  H6D-100c is equipped with a large 53.4 mm x 40.0 mm sensor and records 8-bit 4:2:0 H.264 HD and 4K UHD at 25fps using its proprietary RAW format that can be converted to Cinema DNG. The camera can be paired with a wide range of HC or HCD lenses and mounts directly to the Ronin-MX gimbal.

DJI is looking at a third-quarter release, and we hope it comes with a discount. The H6D-100c is expensive—around $32,000—and if you add in the M600 Pro at $4,999 and the Ronin-MX at $1,599, you're looking at a nice chunk of change.
