After the release of the ATEM Mini Pro, Blackmagic Design has announced the ATEM Mini Pro ISO and the ATEM Streaming Bridge, which are sure to up your live streaming capabilities.
The main difference between the ATEM Mini Pro and the ATEM Mini Pro ISO is it's recording functionality. The ATEM Mini Pro ISO in an affordable live production switcher equipped with a 5-stream recording engine that allows each video input to be recorded onto USB flash disks for editing later on. The device records clean feeds of all the inputs as well as the audio, graphics, and a DaVinci Resolve project file, so you can quickly open the project and start editing.
The miniaturized control panel can connect up to 4 cameras via HDMI or computers. Blackmagic says all video sources will re-sync to the switcher no matter the video standard, leaving out any guesswork when it comes to different video formats.
Like other ATEM Mini models, this version also streams via an ethernet connection. Additionally, the unit includes an advanced chroma key for blue or green screen work, an integrated audio mixer that supports limiting, compression, and 6 band EQ as well as graphics capabilities for titles, opening plates, and logos.
Video feeds are recorded as H.264 .mp4 files at up to 70Mb/s quality at the ATEM video standard with AAC audio. On top of that, a single program out is recorded as the streaming quality setting as a H.264 MP4 fille with AAC audio.
The ATEM Mini Pro ISO sells for $895, which is around $300 more than the ATEM Mini Pro.
The ATEM Streaming Bridge is a converter that decodes the live stream from any ATEM Mini Pro model and converts it back to SDI and HDMI video. So if you want to send an HDMI or SDI signal from the live switcher out to another source, the ATEM Streaming Bridge has you covered.
It works by taking the H.264 stream from the switcher and converts it back to either SDI or HDMI. Blackmagic Design makes it as simple as plug and play. The ATEM Streaming Bridge is expected to arrive in August for around $245.
