Atomos Ninja Inferno vs Shogun Flame

After NAB 2017, I will be purchasing either the Panasonic GH5 or a Sony A7S series camera (if they announce a new release). I am also purchasing the DJI Ronin-M. I was looking into buying a cheap monitor until I saw the new release of the Atomos Ninja Inferno and the price drop of the Shogun Flame. Both are $995. Am I wrong for thinking that the Shogun Flame is a better deal with SDI and RAW? I currently don't have the equipment to support these features, but who knows what may happen in the future. Am I missing something here? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

If you buy the GH5 and want to shoot 4K 60p 10-bit 4:2:2, then only the Ninja Inferno can record at this frame rate. ( if you don't need 60p recording in this format then the Shogun Flame would work just fine )

Thanks Guy! I didn't know that the Ninja Inferno was the only model that could record 4K60p 10-bit 4:2:2. That is something for me to think about. I'm just glad that these price drops have made Atomos recorder/monitors a realistic option for me at my budget level.

The Shogun Inferno is the only other Atomos monitor-recorder that can handle 4K 60p 10-bit 4:2:2 format, but it costs a lot more.

Hi, thanks for the info. Do you know any other feature that make the Ninja Inferno better than the Shogun Inferno?.
