New iMac with 5K Display

So, I thought people on this forum would be interested in Apple’s newest announcement of an iMac with built-in 5K display starting at $2499: http://www.apple.com/imac-with-retina/

You can edit 4K footage and see every pixel with room to spare for your editing interface. Pretty crazy. They say it’s the world’s highest resolution computer display.

No word in the keynote if they’re planning to update their external Thunderbolt Display to be 5K.

Is it possible to edit 4K smoothly in After Effects and Premiere Pro considering the iMac's specs?

Honestly, I’m not sure. I don’t work in Premiere, and I don’t work in 4K. I would think that Final Cut Pro X could do it, but I can’t confirm that.

Hi. I have de full i Mac 27 nvidia 780M 4 GB DDR 5, 32 GB RAM, fusion drive, etc and I test virtually with imac 5K. do you know what happens?

For video editing , imac 5K is 5-10% faster the imac mine, but the imac 5K have to manager double pixels so is SLOWER with edition. Don`t have the power extra for be fast.... :S
