Where can we find Visual Effects artists/Editors being a Young Filmmaker?

Post Production in my opinion is probably the most frustrating thing in filmmaking. We spend hours researching the reliable 'Youtube' for 'How To's' all while getting through the first cut and maintaining our film's social media pages.

We know there are people out there that will make our life easier but frankly, they are hard to find.

Are there websites for these visual effects/editors for young filmmakers? How much can we expect to pay? Should we just edit it ourselves as well as attempt to do the visual effects?

Contact a few people who have Visual Effects Reels on Vimeo or Youtube... Maybe someone wants to do it for free if your project has enough potential.

hi, i'm on the other side: i'm a vfx artist looking to find some (paid) indie work.

but i can share some sources i use to find work:
on linkedin are serveral groups for (remote/local) VFX artist
on stage32 is a job board
nerdeo.net looks promising (they had some indie work posted already for users)
www.scarecrowvfx.com could be also something you can consider
you can post jobs on cgmeetup
maybe reddit

You might be able to find someone by contacting artists who participate in CG Talk challenges like this one: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=370&t=1325633

Just a random suggestion.

You should put your project onto http://www.nerdeo.net/ . It's VFX focused. People apply to work on your film wether you have a budget or not. Lot's of VFX graduates on there and if you're project is interesting you might even get some senior people apply to work on it for fun. Usually to attract good artists, you need to give back financially! Check it out.
