C100 mark ii - 4k recording

Hello, I'm sorry if this has been asked before but my manager is wanting to buy new equipment and is looking at a Canon C100 mark ii paired with an Atmos Ninja or something in order to record 4k.

Now, to my knowledge it is not possible to get 4k out of the camera. Is that correct?

No, the Canon C100 cameras only record 1080p footage, so an external 4K recorder won't allow you to record 4K footage.

Keep in mind that the C100 camera uses a 4K sensor to create it's 1080p footage, so it's producing very sharp and detailed 1080p footage.

That was my understanding. I shoot with the C100 for weddings all the time and the company I shoot for has recorders and I never saw the option. Thank you so much for your response.
