Location permits and model releases required for filming Stock Footage?

Hello,

I would like to start shooting stock footage to upload and sell on various sites. However I can find little information on model releases and location permit policies.

If I simply take the camera out and film on the streets, what sort of legal forms do I need ? Can I feature famous buildings in a wide shot of a city like London ? Or what about the people that just walk on the road through my shot?
Any other situations that I have to be mindful of?

Hope you can help me out! Thank you!

This depends on the legal regulations of your country.

Is there freedom of panorama? If yes you can shoot every object that is in public space. If no you might need a permission to do that. F. e. you need to buy a licence to shoot the eifel tower and sell an image of it because in france is no freedom of panorama.

If you shoot people there is more to think about.
In Germany it's like this:
You don't need a permission of somebody if he/she
...is in th frame by an accident.
...is part of an historical event.
...is in a crowd of at least 7 persons.
Otherwise you would need the permisson of a person to shoot and sell their images.

Thank you, makes more sense for me now and I have a starting point for where to look for rules!
