Matching Canon C-Log with Sony Cine1pro

Hi all,

Just thought I'd ask on the off chance if anyone has done this and has any advice? It's from a recent shoot with my Canon C100 mkii and a colleagues Sony FS5. We had done one other shoot previously with both cams but this particular one was for a tutorial by an interior designer, so there are very particular colours on display and the cameras have revealed their differences quite starkly. There's one shot in particular with some fabric that is literally a completely different colour with the Sony!

Anyway...feel free to tell me how stupid I am, but I'm stuck with it now and need to sort it out. May have to just cut shots where appropriate and be inventive.

Sincere thanks for any help

I would whip out fast color corrector (premiere) or another tool with a color picker for white balance and find something grey in your scene to match the general color balance to. Use your scopes to bring the black and white points to the same area and you should be pretty close. After that it will probably be tweaking, but they should cut together fine as long as they have a similar white balance and black/white points.

You could try a color matching plugin for your particular NLE.
