Sony A7s w/ Sony or Adaptor+Canon/Tokina/etc Lenses?
Got a question that's been troubling me:
I recently bought a Sony A7s to film music videos and also freelance/properties work. Most of my work is 95% video. However, I'm still undecided in terms of WIDE angle lenses. I'm considering:
Option 1) Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm f/4 (£730)
Option 2) Commlite Adaptor (£57) with Tokina AT-X 16-28mm f/2.8 Pro FX Lens for Canon (£427).
Option 2 is cheaper and allows me to buy other lenses that are unavailable to Sony A7s at the moment. However, I've heard of internal reflection issues (light leaks) when using an Adapter. This is a huge issue for video. So, there's that alternative option to invest in the Metabones IV adaptor (£325)? The problem here is the significant jump in cost for an adaptor!? I might as well get the Sony one then, no?
(To add: Tokina f/2.8 gives me shallower depth of field and less noise. Moreover, I've heard the Sony has issues with Infinity Focus because of its weird electronic focus...)
Anyway, what do you guys think? I'm in need of other people's opinions. Thanks!
