Video and Photo

hello guy quick question/ I'm thinking of buying a camera for take photo and shot video / I have two in mind the Panasonic GH4 and the Canon 7D mark II which you think is the best?

The Canon 7D mk2 is probably the better camera for still photos ( this is mainly designed as a photographer's camera ), but it does not offer very much in terms of video. ( i.e. lower resolution, lower dynamic range, lower bit-rates, aliasing and moire imaging issues, etc... )

Where the Panasonic GH4 is definitely the better video camera...
- 4K internal recording
- 11 F-stops of dynamic range
- Recording bit-rates up to 200 Mbps
- Cine shooting profiles
- 70 dB dynamic audio range
- Cine shutter-angle exposure settings ( i.e. 180 degree shutter, etc... )

The GH4 is also a pretty good still photo camera ( 12 fps still photo shooting, 7 fps with focus-tracking ), and now offers 4K Photo Mode where you can shoot 4K video that is optimized for still-photo use. ( i.e. shoot 4K video at 30 fps, then pick out specific frames to export as 8 Mpx photos )

Canon 7D mark II have better performance in low light situations but is true that the DR, color space and resolution GH4 is better.
