It’s not often we have the opportunity to combine what we do with fundraising and awareness for a good cause — not to mention potentially win some serious gear as prizes for doing so — but recently, Philip Bloom has given us the chance to do just that. With mustaches. In the spirit of Movember, men allow that key area of facial hair to grow wildly and unchecked (or, finely trimmed and groomed, that’s fair game too) for the duration of November in a showing of support for prostate and testicular cancer research. The first annual Vimeo Festival + Awards is almost here, and it looks like it’s going to be a heck of a good time. Taking place this weekend here in New York City (October 8th and 9th), the festival consists of talks, workshops, screenings, community meeting spaces, special events, and a big ol’ closing party.
