Thank you. I Thought I would have to export every single clip and make it in after effects
This is happening as we speak... The codec develped by Cinegy (Cinegy Daniel2) is a game changer to the post-prod workflow. It is a open source codec, ultra eficient, based on GPU image processing witch bring a whole another level in terms of image processing... Current GPUs deal, with ease, 8k footage!! This is a massive improvement to all the small production companies, this is a solution that gives the best! for no buck...
Just want to spread the word about this! it might get the "big players" to integrate this codec in their NLEs!
I ask the community to embrace the idea of new. If it wasnt for these leaps in technology 99.7% of the people who want to make movies, wouldnt be able to express themselves.
Choose your information. Be wise about the information you choose. Don't take for granted anything that is put out there without experienced it!
I think all industry, since camera manufactors until NLEs should be diving with their heads... Lobbies and stuff
You are absolutly right about everything. In my opinion there are some ways for the consumer to have your amazing product:
1st- the NLE programers adopt this codec because they care about their clients.
2nd- the client pressure and demand the integration.
3rd- build a new NLE with this codec in mind.
4th- integrate this codec in the aquisition of images,to be more specific, get this codec sraight out of the camera nativelly, and this would be awesome for everyone workflow wise.
Do you think it is possible for cameras to provide this codec based images? As I see it, it would be a win-win situation...
The simple fact of being allways bombed with information and "Tuturials & How tos" makes me, personaly, being more preocupied with the question "How will I do this, prepare the project, defining everything, "by the book" but I am a one mans band, so not in a million years I get that kind of possibility of productions.
I find myself stuck in the overthinking and not so much on the DOING.
I am trying some "off film" technics, like meditate to be able to maintain focus, energy and confidence while going out and shoot.
By the way, I am into Documentary Film.
Thank you guys.
Ive been working like this for 2 years now. (with some tweaks)
Its actually the only way to get NLEs to get better performance and have every scene clip in your hand as fast as possible.
In feature films, I put one more time line "TOTALS" in chronological order (scene, shot, take) and from there, raise up to the 2nd Video row, the selected parts, Copy this to a new timeline and get some trimming and adjustments done
From there I start to make MAKETS (a kind of final editing) that may vary in some minor aspects from one to another.
I think this way is the best way to work. You access all clips in a blink of an eye. And go to diferent stages of the editing process (because sometimes you F*»k something along the way and it is damn easy to troubleshoot.
PS- It is easier for Directors to access and mess around with their ideas (some directors like to have a cut of their own)
You should give it a try. It has been my "secret souce" to keep everyone happy and work to go as fast and as enjoyble as possible!
