Mida Chu is a director, cinematographer, and media designer. Born in Suzhou, China, Mida came to United States in 2010 in pursuit of studying filmmaking at Interlochen Arts Academy. During those four years of high school, he made more than 20 short films in various lengths, experimenting various aspects of cinematic techniques, especially parallel storytelling structures. He is a 2014 National YoungArts Finalist. Screened at YoungArts Miami and National Film Festival for Talented Youth, his Silent Film Trilogy, brought him national recognition with silver key in Scholastic Art and Writing competition. Among the three short films in the Trilogy, Burning was screened at Los Angeles Film Festival. His graduating thesis film Dreams that Transcend All Boundaries, won Best Artistic Film at Trinity International Film Festival, and won Best Drama and Best Soundtrack at All American High School Film Festival. His most recent film, Harmony of Grey, was screened at the 69th Cannes Film Festival in the Short Film Corner in May 2016.
