I really enjoyed the lack of music. Too many short films or indie features have template generic soundtracks.
I agree about the constant creeping zooms.
I think you're talking about purchasing an Alexa. You can always rent one. it's cheaper! Heck, I'd of taken a blackmagic pocket, or sony A7s. Buy someone had to be first.
My issues with horror. I've grown up. Most movies are aimed at 17 year olds.
The ones being made, in mainstream, are not made by auteurs but by the likes of cash cows trying to hungry-hungry hippo profits.
Last horror films I've enjoyed was the wonky VHS/ VHS2, Rec 2 and Red State.
They should put Mad Max on this list, too.
I enjoy the raid, but there is too much action that it wears out it's welcome fast. In both movies.
District 9 was probably the last solid movie with Action I liked since Matrix. Before that, Kill Bill and Terminator 2.
