Hummm...not exactly sure how i feel about this. I had a DJI drone, i registered it with the FAA... i just don't really see what the big deal is all about. My DJI drone committed suicide and now i'm flying a Karma, all under the same FAA registration. But now you have to register with the manufacturer (DJI) so you can basically use it??
First off.... that was awesome. Some day I would love to work on a set that has the time and money to build shit from scratch. But honestly ... i bet I could put together a multiple gopro rig in the middle of that car, without all the fuss and achieve 90% of what they got, with a few tries. Again I love these BTS videos ... it almost seems like a contest on who can make something the most complicated. Sometimes folks, the simple answer is the best one !!!!
There is an old business adage, if you want to affect change (buying pattern / product in this case) you have to be either: better, cheaper, or faster. Likely 2 of the 3. To be a game changer, you must have a big enough market for your "whatever" and you need do all three. This does not pass the test.....at least not yet!
Humm..i can't imagine needing or doing anything like this, HOWEVER, I admire and support the ingenuity to figure out how to make something like this!
Ya.... like anybody is really going to fly a 30k camera on a DJI drone.... better get that insurance ready...just saying
