When we stopped by to talk to Les Zellan from ZGC and Cooke, he explained how the company was aiming to bring back the "funkiness" of anamorphic by designing their new lens with the anamorphic squeeze in front of the iris -- something he says some manufacturers don't do with their new rear anamorphic lenses.

Cooke wasn't able to give us much information about their new anamorphic lens, but what they could tell us was that it will have a 2X squeeze and will be released by the end of the year.
