Coming in at $300 and maxing out at 1080p 60fps, it's a pretty big step above the lowest-end $130 HERO, which is rather limited at 1080p 30fps and has no built-in screen. The new HERO+ LCD gives you built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, and allows the camera to be controlled via the GoPro smartphone app. The built-in touchscreen on the HERO+ LCD puts it in line with the $400 HERO4 Silver

Here's the intro video from GoPro:

Here's more on the wireless connectivity:

GoPro HERO+ LCD Built-in WiFi and Bluetooth

This now means that in the newer line, they've got cameras from $130 all the way to $500, which have varied specs depending on your needs. Interestingly, while the previous HERO3+ Black has been discontinued, they are still selling the HERO3+ Silver Edition, which is capable of 1080p 60fps and 720p 120fps (slightly better than the HERO+ LCD's 720p 60fps). I would venture to say that the usability improvements and wireless controls more than make up for the lower max frame rate at 720.

There are now more cameras than ever in the GoPro line, and the HERO+ LCD will only put more pressure on other manufacturers to keep pushing their own prices and specs.
