DJI's New Matrice 600 Drone Knows Where it's Going, Plus Ronin-MX Gimbal Gets Stronger and Smoother
NAB 2016
The new system integrates DJI’s A3 flight controller, features Lightbridge 2 video-transmission technology and can be combined with the Ronin-MX aerial three-axis gimbal.
DJI is going all in on the drone game this year at NAB, designing a new Ronin that can hook up to their new drone, the Matrice 600. The Ronin-MX, which is mounted on the M600, has a CANBUS port that allows flight controller data to pass through the gimbal, making the drone aware of its position and able to maintain the horizon level. It can turn around a complete 360-degrees, tilt plus-45-degrees to negative-135-degrees, has redundant slip rings and features an optional accessory to transmit real-time video from a mounted camera. Andy Zou got a chance to talk with DJI's Adam Najberg at NAB 2016.
The M600 starts at a retail price of $4,599. Combined with the Ronin-MX, it sells for $5,999.
