Andy Zou talks to Roy Ayers at Schneider about the newest addition to their full frame Xenon series, a $6300 18mm lens that is, according to Ayers, the fastest full frame prime lens on the market right now at T2.4. Some of the cool features of the Xenon series are that the optics were built from scratch (no re-housed photo lenses), produce a warmer image than other lenses like it, and are all about the same size and weight, which not only makes mounting matte boxes easy, but makes cameras with these lenses easier to handle. The set includes 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm 75mm, 100mm, and 135mm, which Ayers reports will be coming out next year to complete the set.
