In collaboration with Facebook, Mettle is working on depth based tools, including depth of field effects and depth masking for 360°/VR. In basic terms, this means you can do a virtual dolly effect, a rack focus, move left and right, and Mettle's software makes this as easy as possible. The first of their tools to come out will probably be the depth of field. Release date unknown, but all of their tools and plug-ins are designed to work within Premiere Pro and After Effects.
