Sigma Adds T2 Cine Prime Lenses

Sigma introduces new FF High-Speed T2 Cine Primes, which start shipping soon. 

At NAB, Sigma announced it will add two new T2 Cine Primes to its FF High Speed line in 14 and 135mm.

The two lenses will start shipping in July and pricing will be announced soon. Additionally, Sigma will start shipping its T1.5 FF High Speed Cine Prime EF and E mount lenses in May and PL mount, coming in June with a retail price of $3,499. 

The T1.5 lenses have focal lengths ranging from 20 – 85mm and feature a body design and mechanical lens capable of meeting the demands of 6K and 8K cinema production. Compatible with the latest full-frame sensors, the lenses offer consistent color, contrast, and overall look through the entire set. The full line of T1.5 lenses include 20, 24, 35, 50, and 85mm with T2 in 14 and 135mm optics, both featuring a 95mm front diameter.

$3,499??!! Um, no thanks! At $2,495 maybe but would still be a tough call. I'll stick with the still versions as the optical quality is virtually the same.
