It's been three years since Michel Gondry's last feature, Microbe & Gasoline but he's certainly been keeping busy in between projects. After surprising The White Stripes with a music video for the song City Lights off Jack White's newly released acoustic compilation last summer, it seems he decided to delve once more into the commercial realm.

While music videos have been a key component of Gondry's resume to this point, you may be less aware he has a prolific history in the advertising world as well. His ad Drugstore for Levi’s is, in fact, the most awarded commercial of all time. Gondry has also directed spots for the likes of Nike, Coca-Cola, GAP, Fiat, Smirnoff, Bacardi, Adidas, BMW,  and more.

After this week, he can add FedEx and Chobani to the list. Both ads feature the director's trademark dreamlike whimsy and show that even an ad can still be compelling as long as your vision is in check. It's also worth noting that the Chobani ad marks a well-deserved reunion for Gondry and composer Jon Brion who last worked together on the career-defining Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Watch his latest efforts below:
