We've seen them withstand being shot out of canons, dunked in liquid nitrogen, and even launched into space, but what's the one thing, other than maybe an asteroid the size of Texas, that you'd think a GoPro wouldn't survive? This mighty little GoPro belongs to Erik Storm, the owner and lead guide of Kilauea EcoGuides in Hawaii. As the story goes, Storm nestled his GoPro (in housing) into a crack to capture some lava flows on video when the camera was swallowed up by the molten death liquid and caught on fire. Using a geology rock hammer, Storm extracted the GoPro and chipped away at the cooled rock only to find that the Wi-Fi light was still blinking.
The damn thing survived being eaten by lava, you guys. That's definitely something GoPro should consider adding to its list of features.
