You know those days when you've got a monster cold? Your body aches, your nose is both a leaky faucet and a clogged drain, and you can't decide whether you're too hot for a blanket or too freezing to actually be alive still. Yeah, that's the type of day I had today, which means I do what I always do when I get the sickies: watch weird videos on the interwebz.

Though I (shamelessly) consumed rather questionable media during the very sporadic moments I spent awake and not asleep in a puddle of my own drool and snot, I did find one video that was both appropriate and relevant for this audience. Without further ado, here's a DSLR getting zapped by a microwave.

So, what happens when you put a Nikon D60 and 18-135mm lens in a microwave? Lots of bad things. The end result of this little "experiment" is a DSLR that looks like it just gazed upon the Ark of the Covenant. It's a beautifully disgusting mess of melted plastic and charred camera components that will surely sate your appetite for destruction.

But just in case it didn't, there are plenty of other videos we've covered here that put some of our favorite pieces of filmmaking gear through hell, including one that submerges a GoPro in liquid nitrogen or cuts a DSLR in half with a 60,000 PSI waterjet. Enjoy!
