With the Golden Globe nominations coming out this morning, awards season is shifting into high gear. As a result, studios and specialty distributors are making more screenplays available for download for your consideration. Today, we present scripts for four films based on true stories: BlacKkKlansman, Boy Erased, Beautiful Boy, and The Front Runner.

Before we get to the screenplay links, let's take a quick look at the trailers.

BlacKkKlansman tells the stranger-than-fiction story based on true events of Ron Stallworth, the first African-American detective of the Colorado Springs Police Department, who decides to go undercover and infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan along with fellow detective Flip Zimmerman to expose the white supremacist group's plans to tone down its hateful rhetoric to appeal to a wider audience. When Jordan Peele realized he was juggling too many projects after the success of Get Out, he handed over the directing reins to Spike Lee, a natural choice to tell this incredible true story.

Boy Erased follows the true story of a Baptist minister's son in small town America after he is outed to his parents. His parents send him to a conversion therapy center where he clashes with the program's director and comes to terms with who he is, despite his parents' rejection.

Beautiful Boy is a unique combination of two memoirs: David Sheff's book about trying to save his son from his growing addiction to methamphetamines, and his son Nic Sheff's book about surviving that very drug addiction. This dual perspective on real-life events lends sympathy to both father and son as they grapple with the very real possibility of their lives being torn apart.

Finally, The Front Runner takes us back to the 1988 Democratic presidential campaign when charismatic Senator Gary Hart was the clear leader in the polls for the nomination—that is, until his affair with Donna Rice was exposed and his campaign unraveled due to the subsequent scandal. Oh, what a difference thirty years makes.
