Remember the first time you ran across the combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurant? You kind of laughed, murmured that's awful, and then found yourself eating hard shell tacos and a personal pan pizza. The DigiBoom strikes a similar tone. Your first reaction is, "Wow, this is gimmicky." But then you use it and it's actually pretty cool.

DigiBoom is a combination Steadicam, jib, and handheld stabilizer in one. It's a unique solution for ENG work, narrative, and maybe weddings. You can get shots from ground level up to 8’ or 12' with an optional extension. (Which reminds us...companies: stop making things "optional." Include it. Users will love you more for it.)

The unit is made from carbon fiber and features anti-rotation and locking extenders. It's basically a boom pole for a camera. BBS Lighting has something similar with a softbox where they attach an LED on a boom pole. It's called Flyer LED.

You can pick up the DigiBoom for $500.
