DJI continues its mission to make its drone video technology a true everyday tool for all types of technology. The new DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise, which is a more workman’s version of the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom (read our review here), brings some practical updates to the popular aerial video drone.
Let’s take a look at what’s new as well as feature some enterprise-level accessories that look pretty handy.
Meet the DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise
As far as the camera goes, the new DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise utilizes the same 12MP CMOS sensor as the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom on a three-axis gimbal. This includes the optical zoom up to 2x and a digital zoom up to 3x. You can see it in action in the video above recording its 4K video at up to 30fps. This enterprise model does though, offer some updates to the battery and new accessories to assist in close range operations and even search and rescue missions.
DJI Self-Heating Batteries and Updates
The biggest update is the introduction of new self-heating batteries for the Enterprise which can work in temperatures between -10°C to 6°C at an increased performance over 50%. (Note: these new self-heating batteries can also work with the Mavic Pro 2 and Mavic 2 Zoom.) Updates also include an extended port for the new accessories (more on those below), 24GB onboard storage and DJI AirSense.
Mavic 2 Enterprise Accessories
- M2E Spotlight: dual spotlight with brightness of 2,400 lumens with adjustable angle.
- M2E Speaker: loudspeaker with maximum projection of 100 decibels which provides a communication channel and up to 10 custom voice commands. Recommended at 20 to 40 meters in general conditions.
- M2E Beacon: bright flashing strobe visible three miles away to help guide pilots at night and in low-light conditions.
