Nikon has had a busy end of Q3 in 2018, since announcing their new FX-format mirrorless offerings (the Nikon Z7 and the Nikon Z6) in August, Nikon has been fast at work getting both cameras ready for their proposed shipping dates here in late 2018.

Thankfully, for those who have already pre-ordered, or have been patiently waiting on their decision to buy, the Nikon Z6 finally has an announced shipping date.

Nikon Z6 Shipping November 16th, 2018

If you’ve been checking in on your order pages recently, you’ll be pleased to see that as of today, the “Pre-order” section now includes a note about the new shipping date and availability.

“Manufacturer will start shipping this item on 11/16/2018. Orders will be filled on a first come first serve basis. We do not charge your card until we actually ship the item to you.” via Adorama

While the caveat about shipments going out on a “first serve basis” is a little concerning, it does mean that US markets are finally live and ahead of Japanese markets which aren’t set to ship until Nov. 23rd.

The Nikon Z6 Mirrorless Camera

Nikon Z6

As we’ve written about the Nikon Z7 and Z6 before, this is exciting news for the mirrorless camera market as the Z6 is a great, competitive offering to rival that of the Canon EOS R, the Sony A7 III and the Panasonic GH5 (and GH5s). While the Z6 might not stack to its Z7 sibling in terms of sensor and resolution, the Z6 is still a terrific camera that fits in snugly at a price point $1,400 cheaper than the Z7.
