In what very well could represent a bold new future for filmmaking and videography, remote recording continues to advance in terms of control and responsiveness. Sony’s new RMT-P1BT Wireless Remote Commander is here for new unprecedented Bluetooth wireless remote control on Sony camera systems.

While a longtime favorite of photographers for the landscape, architectural, astrophotography, still motion and group portraits (and, you know, selfies), Sony’s new Wireless Remote Commander does offer some pretty impressive video recording remote capabilities.

Most notable for filmmakers and video professionals with the Sony Wireless Remote Commander are the manual focus controls and power zoom (and digital zoom) functionalities. A remote C1 custom button can be adjusted on the Remote Commander for subtle manual focus controls, as well as start-stop movie recording.

It’s also important to note that the Remote Commander looks to offer some of the fastest response time on the market with approximately 0.05 second release time-lag for some split second responsiveness.

When I was a kid, it was all the rage to buy CDs of your favorite movie soundtracks. Albums would come out with the movies consisting of a ton of pop songs that sort of gave you the vibes of the movie but functioned as great mixes.
