The Best Filmmaking Deals of the Week

Canon headlines our Deals of the Week with $500 in savings on the EOS 1DX Mark II 35mm full frame camera (plus a ton of free accessories).

This week in filmmaking deals: Canon not only a huge price cut on its 35mm full frame EOS 1DX Mark II camera but a handful of free accessories to go with it. Also, save $50 on a GoPro HERO7 Black as well as $60 on a Moment Filmmaking Super Set, which includes an anamorphic lens, phone case, and a Freefly Movi. Finally, you can save over $400 on an Atomos Shinobi Pro Monitor Kit over at Adorama.

Canon EOS 1DX Mark II Bundle

Back in its heyday, the 1DX Mark II was one if not the best in Canon's 1D line, even receiving the highest rating DxOMark had ever given a Canon sensor. It features a 35mm Full Frame Canon CMOS sensor, Dual DIGIC 6+ Image Processors, 409600 expandable ISO, as well as 4K at 60fps. Even though a few years have passed and we're seeing newer cameras come out that have equal and better specs as the 1DX Mark II, remember...this thing came out in 2016...with those specs...and now it's on sale. Not only is Adorama offering the 1DX Mark II camera body for $500 less than its retail price but they're throwing in 8 free accessories, including 64GB Lexar memory card, memory card wallet, a 24/7 messenger bag, lens cleaning kit, and a remote shutter intervalometer.

GoPro HERO7 Black

GoPro focused on stability in a big way when they came out with the HERO7 Black. This little action cam's biggest feature has to be its HyperSmooth Video Stabilization, which uses electronic image stabilization (EIS) to give users "gimbal-like" stabilization. GoPro is offering this thing for $50 below its retail price of $399, so now you can go out and shoot buttery smooth action for less.

Moment Filmmaking Super Set

Any smartphone filmmakers in the house? What about filmmakers who just want the casual stuff they shoot on their phones to look better? Well, you might want to take a look at the Moment Filmmaking Super Set, which pairs Moment's highly anticipated anamorphic mobile lens with Freefly's handheld Movi gimbal. You can get it now for less than $500. (Don't worry, Moment is also throwing in their proprietary phone case and counterweights.)

Adorama Deal of the Week

The Atomos Shinobi is a lightweight, powerful HDR field monitor that features a 1000 nit 5" SDI screen, 4KDCIp30 HDMI and HDp60 SDI in and out support, instant LUT preview, calibrated true-to-eye colors, and much more. It's a great option for those looking for a monitoring solution that's flexible, affordable, and accurate enough for pro-level work. Adorama is running a special on it right now that not only includes $200 in instant savings on the Shinobi but $200 in accessory savings as well.
