Buying a zoom versus some primes.

Our company is getting ready to buy some lenses for our gh4's. We mostly shoot short documentaries, with the occasional narrative short or music video. My first instinct is to go practical and buy a zoom lens (like a 24-105, or sigma 18-35), but the idea of having a set of primes (thinking Rokinon Cine's) is damn appealing, it'd be really nice to have a solid set to use. Thoughts? Which lenses would you recommend in either direction?

I am very happy with what I use with my GH4, which is a Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 and eight Nikon AI-S lenses that I use with a regular Metabones Nikon G adapter and a Metabones SpeedBooster Nikon G adapter. ( NOTE: The Metabones Nikon G adapters provide step-less aperture control, so you can smoothly go from widest to smallest aperture with these adapters )

The Panasonic and the Nikon lenses serve different purposes, and provide a very different look. Starting out I would get the same Panasonic 12-35mm and either Rokinon or Nikon AI-S prime lenses.
