Cameras with a 35 MM Sensor Size

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted a list of Digital Cinema Cameras that have a 35 MM Sensor size. I know of a couple but I'm sure there are a lot more that I don't know about. Thanks!

Do you mean 35mm motion picture size or Super35 motion picture size, or do you mean 35mm Full Frame Still Photo size ?

I guess I mean a full frame sensor, would full frame be considered or close to the size of 35 mm?

Full Frame 35mm is a still photo format, where Academy 35 or Super35 are considered to be the standards for motion picture formats. Almost all digital cine cameras on the market today use the Super35 format. ( Super35 is about half the size of the Full Frame still photo format )

So for true "cine" cameras that use the Full Frame still photo format, the only one that comes to mind is the Canon EOS-1D C camera that currently sells for $8,000.

Otherwise there are several Full Frame DSLR cameras that shoot video from Canon, Nikon, and Sony, but these cameras were mainly designed as still photo cameras with the video capability added on. ( the Sony A7S might be the exception here, as it has many of the features you would expect in a cine camera )

ARRI, Panavision, RED, and Sony also make digital cine cameras with very large sensors that are as big or bigger than the 35mm Full Frame still photo format, with most of these cameras costing well over $50K and up.

Two great options that are fairly affordable would be the Canon 6D and the Sony A7 or A7II. To my knowledge those are the most affordable full-frame options besides a used Canon 5D MkII.
