I wanted to know all your thoughts and experiences with the Canon 7D for filmmaking. I'm looking forward to hearing all your opinions!
I use it as a B cam for wedding videos and I like it. Set it on a tripod adjust focus and have someone keep hitting the record button. You can use it for film with Magic Lantern and looks great in footage I've seen. YouTube Canon 7d shortfilms and you'll find one that is called Nightshift, not bad IMO.

While the Canon 7D is not the best when shooting video, two feature films have been shot with it. "Tiny Furniture" (2010) and "Like Crazy" (2011) were both shot with the 7D.

The 7D was my first camera, and had a blast making ridiculous shorts with friends. The camera really shows what one may or may not want capturing their footage. For instance, not enough low light capabilities. The old body is still hanging around my place for nostalgic purposes, and is ready to be lent out to anyone in need. Overall, it is a great little camera.
