HipHop For Camera Geeks

This is my first post on here, so forgive me if this isn't something that is supposed to be done, but I felt I had to share this video with the community.

I was looking up footage for the Canon C100, because I'm considering purchasing one in the near future, when I stumbled upon this music video by TheMomoZone. Its probably the nerd in me coming out, but I LOVE this song!

I f you really need the extra goodies that come with the C100 such as the XLR inputs and the ability to use dual SD cards, then go for it. If that’s the case then I would suggest the C500. The C500 allows you to record 4K RAW, 4:4:4 color space (if you use an external recorder) and the ability to record higher frames per second.
If you are okay with syncing your audio then might as well get a 5D Mark III, you can record at the same color space as the C100 4:2:0 (4:2:2 with and external recorder) and spend the extra money in good lenses. I’m assuming that, like me, you like the Canon look, otherwise get a Black Magic 4K, it has a rolling shutter and it gives way more dynamic range (pretty close to film).

I’ll link up two videos that I shot with a 5D Mark II, a short film “The Bike Thief” in which I used Zeiss fast Photography lenses and a Canon L series zoom for most of the close-ups.
Compared to this music video “Houdini” in which I used the same camera with cinema CP2 Zeiss (I fell in love with these) and the same L series Canon zoom lens for only a couple of shots. You can tell the lenses made a huge difference, something to think about.
