How to make movies in the middle of the jungle?

Let's say you live in the middle of the jungle... say, at a town called Parintins... at the state of Amazonas... north region of the wonderful Brazil... lovely place, full of wild life, nature and tons of amazing tropical landscapes and locals. But you're stuck.

You've got no crew; no decent internet connection to even check your favorite film news site (nofilmschool), to watch your favorite filmmakers and to post your done stuff to vimeo and/or youtube; you survive by making freelance event movies like weddings and working for the government - which ends up consuming some of your time and energy you wanted to be putting on your own films and perhaps even your youtube channel;

What would you do? Would you keep hustling to survive and try to make movies on the go? Would you turn the f#$% it on and just do what you want, pursuing a live project? Would you look for someone else to help you on the run? Would you scream for help at a community of filmmakers in search of some insights? Would you move to New York City?

Anyways... thanks for your time. It's good to have somebody to talk to :)

Everybody needs money to survive. I don't believe in jumping into the void because you're such an artist (even though I'm tempted myself). You're working in the industry and that's a good thing. Maybe you can save money so you can work for a stretched period of time on your own projects. If you make stuff you love, you can find work you love and you don't even have to 'hustle to survive anymore', you can survive doing what you love.
