Movie Budget

Let's say you magically have $3 million and you decide to make a film with all of it. How would you spend the money? Be specific and explain how you would spend it in the various areas of the film (pre-production,, production, post-production, and promotion/distribution).

Preproduction: I spend 1.000.000
Production: 1.000.000
Postproduction: 500.000
Promotion: 500.000

The preproduction is the most important part and usually, we (wrong) asume that the money you must use in production and postproduction.

How would spending that much money in preproduction improve the quality of your film?

It's true about promotion but, we are speak with a lot of money. I from europe and, a lot of european movies have success without promotion, thanks to social media and the "mouth to mouth"
