Opinions on my short documentary

Hi all, I just finished a documentary for one of my film classes and I'm looking for opinions/feedback on it. The film is about addiction told through the lives of people affected by it, both addicts and family/loved ones. Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Great job on a very important subject!

Cary Knoop

I agree with Cary Knoop. I think your characters are great as well.
But you often cut between two angles of the same character. The cuts are a bit awkward. I guess you are doing it so the viewer won't get bored.
I think instead you should have the characters do something; either walk around the house, show the viewers where they used to drink (terrible example, I know. It's way easier to critisize than it is to created ;) ), or so. That way you can change location more often so it don't get so tedious.
I think you're telling a great story with great characters, but you need more creativity in your story telling.
Hope that made sense. Keep up the good work
