I tried to add my user url to my profile and I keep getting a message saying there is an error and asking for my password. No matter how many times I enter my password it keeps telling me there's an error.

I come up with errors almost every time I try to update the information on my personal page. Usually it tells me that I need to enter my password before I can update anything, but even when I do enter my password, I just get an error message, and none of my changes are made.

I'm getting the:

"Oops! There was an error in the profile information you provided. Please correct the field indicated below and resubmit your information."

whenever I try to add the Vimeo link. I've tried with and without the http:// and www. proceeding but it won't accept any form.

Make sure that it's a vimeo video your putting the link to and not just your profile. I tried my general profile link and it didn't work. It only worked when I changed it to a single video.

That makes sense, but I don't want to point to a specific video. It's already highlighted on the Vimeo page. Why not just point to the Vimeo page? Then when I update the highlight vid, I don't have to remember to update the link on NFS.

We need the video URL specifically -- we should relabel this field to make it clearer.

Down the road we could potentially look into pulling a featured video from a profile page but right now we have too many fires to put out!

"I can't upload a profile photo in explorer, opera, chrome or firefox. No response when clicking the button."

I am experiencing the same issue currently, on the live site. I'm on a Mac if that matters, but no browser I have (and I have them all, pretty much) seems to do anything with the UPLOAD IMAGE button. I click it and nothing happens. All pop-up blocking and ad-blocking is completely disabled...doesn't seem to help.

I can't upload a profile photo in explorer, opera, chrome or firefox. No response when clicking the button.
When trying to add an additional website under my profile I get the following error message (in all the above browsers):
---------------------------
An error occurred while attempting to process /system/ajax: Object doesn't support property or method 'slice'

There are discrepancies in the edit profile page. Every time I reload the page on my ipad where I registered all the info is there and correct(after many tries). But when I access my edit profile page on my phone..no info is filled in at all. I tried the desktop and my URL, and "websites" are there, but no social media or vimeo, or location.

The button to upload a photo is actually off to the left of the icon. It works but there's no progress bar or any way of knowing if it worked. Just hit "save changes" and it seems to do the trick.

Just thought I'd report that I can't delete my websites from my profile. I totally screwed up the URL and when I click the 'X' nothing happens. Using the latest version of Chrome on Windows 8.1.

Other than that, sweet work :)

Anything that looks like a "button" isn't working for me. Upload Photo, Change Password, etc. I also can't edit Website information I've already added – the "x" next to the website does nothing on the edit page.

Also, If I log out, I can't get back in. I'm back currently logged in on a link from the "forgot password" email. And I can't change my password, because the "change password" button doesn't work!

On a cellphone, the comments are not easely readable, horizontally. There is also a lpt of space 'wasted' between comments, which makes it more difficult vertically.
There is a lot of potential in the new concept!

Hey Robert--see above in the thread about the photo upload button. It actually does work, it's just tricky right now. Click on the text "Choose a profile image" to actually bring up the dialog box. After selecting the picture, click "Upload image". It doesn't do anything visible on screen, but after saving changes and refreshing, your picture should show up. It has for me and others.

Under the "Create a Post" page, the Question vs. Discussion option shows up twice in different forms when Question is selected at the top. (This is not an issue if Discussion is selected at the top.)
If Question is selected, then after the Description you see, "Do you want this question answered?" Two options are available: (1) Yes, I would like this answered. (2) No, I want to start a discussion. The action is unclear if you choose "Question" at the top and "No, I want to start a discussion" down below.

This is only feedback (wrong thread?) but a darker colour background would make reading here so much nicer. Reading black text on a light background on laptop or computer screen is tiring. Why don't you follow the example set by many editing and colour grading programs and have a darkish background. Be especially nice for the longer articles and lots of replies and answers etc.

Also, when I attempt to include my Twitter handle on my profile I get the following message: An error occurred while attempting to process / system/Ajax: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating 'this.slice((to ll from) + 1 lol this.length)').

When I clicked on a comment box to start typing my comment, the whole page flashed as if it were reloading, then duplicates of Ryan's post up above started spawning at the bottom of the page every five seconds ad infinitum... very weird; I decided to re-load before I posted. (This was in the Welcome to the New No Film School article).
Another bug happened when I went to upvote a post by another commenter. Upon doing so, the screen seemed to reload (as in the first bug). Then, what appeared to be the topmost "bar" on the website (containing Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube links on the left and my username on the right) loaded in-line beneath the comment I upvoted... followed by the entire news post. It was like the whole webpage loaded again within the comment box area.
I'm using Firefox 31.0 on Windows 7.

When doing a search, then clicking any search result for a matching topic in the Boards, the path is a broken relative one and it goes to a non-URL. Example: Type "A7S" (no quotation marks) in the search bar, then select one of the matching Boards results. It's dropping the domain (nofilmschool.com) from the path and attempting to dump you directly at (http://)default/boards/discussions/transitioning-canon-5d-m3-sony-a7s. Site looks great! IMMENSE upgrade and thoughtful implementation, despite the QA issues. :) Congrats and kudos, Ryan and team! Curiously, what firm (if any) designed and/or developed the site for you?

1. Searching things with autofill is great, but it'd be better to highlight the suggested as your down arrow over them so you know what is being selected

2. Why have the comment box way down at the bottom of the page. Why make users scroll past 30 comments before adding your own

As far as weekly newsletters go:
1) Miss the numbered posts. It's so easy to lose track of where you were on the list after opening a post in a new window.
2) What's with the super wide bleed/margin in the email? Nearly all post titles now warrant two lines instead of just one.

Otherwise, love the consistent branding across the website and the email. Keep up the good stuff!
