Hi, guys.
I'm Joyce and here is my struggle:
I've been secretly writting for quite a while and have no idea on how to spread the word about my screenplays.
The truth is, I have no connections with people from the filmmaking environment whatsoever and don't know how to proceed ( I'm lost... really).
I'm Brazilian but my stories are in English. I believe that's one of my greatest difficulties here, but I feel way more comfortable and confident to write in English than in Portuguese .

Guys, this is a cry for help. Thanks.

Oi, amiga! I know you posted this was a while ago, but have you tried entering your screenplays into any festivals? A lot of festivals let writers submit their scripts for little-to-no money - might be a good start. Otherwise, I'd suggest getting involved in Facebook groups for filmmaking, screenwriting and producing. It's a good way to network, and they often have some great ideas for getting your work out there. If you're able to, look for local filmmakers and see if they'd like to produce your screenplays (especially for short films). Once you've got something produced, it might be easier to pitch your future products as well. Best of luck!
