Sketch comedy.

Hey. Read a great article on here re sketch comedy.

Just thought we would say hi from the UK.

You guys have such a great sketch scene in the us.

Be great to see what you reckon to our bits (oo err) and see some if yours!

These are hilarious. I've just subscribed as Celluloid Rebellion, my production company. If I had to offer one piece of advice, it would be regarding the way you start a sketch. I absolutely love absurd humor, and you guys seem to be providing it in spades. The only thing is that if you want your audience on board for when things go awry, you can't lead with the absurd. For example, your perverted driving instructor should appear like a normal dude at first, until we suddenly realize things are going to get very weird. It's much more likely to illicit a laugh this way, too. Of course, you do your own thing and keep making awesome stuff happen. Cheers!
(p.s. here's a link to a Mr. Show sketch that perfectly illustrates the gradual descent into madness https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uco5Ed-5y2U)

Hey!

Thanks very much for that advice. It's good advice sir!

Our stuff is actually meant to all sit within a world of subhuman monsters we all meet in our everyday. Postman thats already read your mail, the dry cleaner who swabs your stains to find out what really happened to those chinos. I guess we felt we could jump in a bit quicker.

To be honest a lot of these are actually quite old. We have just started to do some more long form stuff with a lot more heart and hopefully character and work development as well.

LOVED THAT SKETCH THOUGH? Yours?
