And so it begins. On B&H, the expected ship date has been pushed back to mid-September.

And still no word on Low Light capabilities? No way I am buying this camera if I can't shoot comfortably in the 1600-3200 ISO range. If it can perform well at 3200 however I will probably make this my primary body.

Hah, if this is what you're basing your decision on why not just buy the A7sII?

I've only seen one review of the sensor so far, and it doesn't say much about low light capabilities. But there is a lot of great information in it, nonetheless.

I think it's safe to say this isn't a camera for low light in the way the a7s is, if that's all you're looking for.

Hey! Yeah, it's one of two cameras we are evaluating for Baron. An upgrade has been approved, so now it is a matter of deciding which is the best option for us.

Ha! True true. Is is bad that the only reason I think that camera is cool is for ergonomics?

Sorry if my question is irrelevant. I live in New York. If I buy this camera from B&H I will be charged for tax. However when I checked online I found a company which doesn't charge tax. It is called AValive. I went to their website and tried to check out just to see. The total amount was $4995. I was asked what state I was living in. I've selected NY and no tax. Does anybody know what would be the difference between buying this from B&H and this company. Does anybody know this company?

Hey sorry for the super late response. In some states (NY is one) if the order is being shipped from a facility outside of the state, sales tax won't be charged.

Spoke with B&H today about my pre-order Ursa Mini 4.6 and they said they are expecting a "big" shipment on September 5th. Not sure I trust the information but that's what I was told. I asked multiple times to confirm that it was the mini 4.6.

That'd be pretty sweet if they were correct.

You are ordering the camera without seeing any type of reviews on how the NEW sensor handles in low light? Can you explain what drove you to make that decision.

I just got word from an Auzzie friend who works for BMC and it is looking like February.

Still there is the contradiction of the use of the most expensive fast 2 memory cards. Now BM is using SD cards in their recorders???
Why not in the mini???

I wasn't one of the pre-orderers, but I'm curious if anyone has heard an approximation as to when the 4.6k will be readily available, to the point where buyers don't have to fight to get their hands on one?
