Ursa mini 4.6k - looks like video

I have seen a lot of new footage at Vimeo of the Ursa mini 4.6k, but compared to the 4K version (old sensor), I think the new sensor produces a more "digital", video-like image. Actually I like the 4k version more.

What do you think?

The newer 4.6K sensor produces a sharp, contrasty image, with better color and dynamic range than the old 4K sensor.

This new 4.6K sensor has a default look that is not "filmic", but like any camera it's easy to modify this look in post to create a "filmic" image. Generally a "filmic" image is not contrasty, it's not very sharp, the colors are not accurate and often have a color cast to them.

Properly handled in post I am certain you can get any look you want out of this new sensor, but you're going to have to work to get it, where with the old sensor the default image was more "filmic" right out of the camera.

As a former film shooter Iam delighted to find a digital device at that price with a full-on Super 35mm sensor...What a pleasure...tai krige SASC.
